Scholarship Information
The IWLCA Convention is the largest gathering of collegiate women's lacrosse coaches in the country and we encourage EVERY coach to join us for three great days of education, networking, and celebrating the best in the game!

We recognize that professional development funding varies from school. Each year the IWLCA provides more than $40,000 worth of scholarships to attend the Convention. This year the Board of Directors approved the "New Parent Scholarship" allowing new parents the ability to bring a companion to help with childcare during Convention!

IWLCA Convention Scholarship
In 2025, the IWLCA Convention Scholarship program will again award
30 scholarships at $1,000 each. These scholarships are used to help coaches offset travel and registration costs that are not funded by, or reimbursed by, an institution.

Kristina Quigley Family Scholarship
In 2016, the IWLCA created a scholarship to honor Kristina Quigley, the former Seton Hill coach who was tragically killed, along with her unborn son, in a bus accident in 2013 while traveling with her team.

The Kristina Quigley Scholarship will provide funding to allow the two (2) families of IWLCA members to accompany them in Florida at the IWLCA Convention.
Selection of the recipient will be on the basis of an essay response detailing the applicant’s “passion for coaching and family, and what it would mean to have your family with you at the IWLCA Convention.” ​​

New Parent Scholarships
This scholarship will provide a new parent (child must have been born within 18 months of the Convention date) with a scholarship to defray the cost of traveling with their child and a secondary caregiver to the IWLCA Convention. As travel costs will vary depending on the locale of the coach’s institution, a flat-rate scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded at the conclusion of Convention. ​​
